Paul Escarcena

I'm Paul Escarcena, a Full-Stack, Cloud & DevOps engineer from Lima, Peru, with 15+ years of experience building and operating technology platforms in enterprise and banking environments.

I currently work as a Technology Engineer at Banco de Crédito BCP, where I design cloud solutions on Azure and GCP, orchestrate containers on AKS, GKE, and OpenShift, and automate deployments for critical banking platforms that can't afford downtime.

My day-to-day is a mix of code, containers, pipelines, and YAML manifests: backend development with Java and Spring, infrastructure automation with Terraform and Ansible, GitOps with ArgoCD, and increasingly exploring AI applied to software development.

On this blog I share hands-on tutorials, experiences, and insights about DevOps, cloud computing, and AI — written as if I were explaining them to you over coffee. My goal is to help with real-world guides, from your first cluster to production architectures.
